Fine Artist and Illustrator Sarah Taylor began her career in her hometown of Salinas, California working on illustrative works and sculptures. Her educational needs brought her to Florida where she became a 2005 graduate of Ringling College of Art and Design with a BFA in Illustration and Fine Arts. Currently, Sarah is the proprietor of SET Studios, a freelance art studio, and has completed projects in the private arena as well as publicly.
Sarah’s style ranges from the visual to the cerebral, from reality to conceptual, depending on medium and subject matter. Her approach to a project delves into various types of media and materials to mold and shape her concepts. This allows for a broad approach to Art as a whole, discovering new ways to see the world and to communicate to others how to appreciate the beauty around them. By taking ordinary materials such as paint, leather, stone, wood or metal, she weaves a tapestry of form, line, shape, and emotion.
Currently, Sarah’s works include illustrative works, sculptural models, drawings and masks. In addition, her portfolio includes large public murals, an 8’ x 16’ copper and aluminum flag, and various private commissions both 2D and 3D works.
