Form and Space

Public art is one of the most direct forms of art available to so many of us and it is something I am so very grateful to have had the privilege to work with recently. One of the things I enjoy is the aspect of working with large scale pieces, its one thing to do an 11" X 17" painting, but another to start working with a 48' x 10' space.

Public art is also something that becomes integrated into our everyday life. It shows the world that art can be seen and appreciated everywhere, not just in museums or galleries. In some aspects, the pieces become a land mark of sorts and have the possibility to add life and interaction to any space occupied by people. I truly hope to also become integrated into this form of art and to help create more work that an entire community would be proud to have.
